Who We Are

The story of Oxa Group begins in 1965, when Avdyl Hoxha opened his first jewelry shop in Skopje, Macedonia. With a few golden coins gifted by his father, Ali Hoxha, he laid the foundation for what would become a thriving family business. Over the following decade, the Hoxha family expanded their footprint by establishing 12 jewelry shops across Kosovo and Macedonia. By 1999, their portfolio had grown to 22 jewelry stores, three manufacturing plants, and a gold refinery, reflecting remarkable success and resilience.

During the challenging period of the ex-Yugoslavia breakup and the Kosovo conflict, the Hoxha family diversified their investments across multiple sectors. A key milestone was the founding of The American School of Kosova, the region’s first private elementary and high school, emphasizing their commitment to education and community development.

As their reputation for strategic investments grew, the family expanded into real estate development, construction, furniture manufacturing, telecommunications, hospitality, and information technology. The dynamic growth across these industries led to the creation of Oxa Group, a unified holding company that now manages the administrative and operational aspects of their diverse businesses. This consolidation marked a major step toward solidifying their legacy of innovation, growth, and excellence.
